To configure the plugin run the AutoHelp.cmd and follow the prompts.

Consolidated UpperFilters

This ensures, that ALL active UpperFilters settings are consolidated and are active on CD

... and not only the settings in the INF that happens to be processed last.

The management of UpperFilters in BartPE always has been a tricky issue. Certain plugins (like Acronis TrueImage) require special UpperFilters settings to function correctly. As in BartPE the last INF in the processing sequence wins, this always created the problem that it was next to impossible to get ALL plugins to work correctly.

 

The "Consolidate UpperFilters" plugin scans the entire BartPE setup for active INFs containing UpperFilters settings (all classes!) and consolidates them into one

<PEbuilderRoot>\plugin\z_UpperFilters\UpperFilters.inf

This plugin also creates a backup for the "UpperFilters_RestoreOrig" function of PeFuncs.exe (see the plugin for "1x1-Scripts-Support on CD").

Important

You need to run the AutoHelp.cmd of this "Consolidated UpperFilters" plugin every time you add or disable a plugin that contains UpperFilter settings

... to ensure that your consolidated UpperFilters.inf matches what you actually have currently enabled.

If in doubt, just run it always before you build.

Do NOT rename the plugin or put it into a subfolder!

It must be in  <PEbuilderRoot>\plugin\z_UpperFilters\UpperFilters.inf
